Secretary of Defense

This will be the forum for the Secretary of Defense. This is his/her office.

**I walk in the door and sit down in my chair and get to work. I have a couple of things to do before my meetings today.**

**I knock on door of the Secretary of Defense's office**

**His secretary answers**
'The Secretary of Defense is meeting with the president, but if it is urgent I can leave a message for him to meet you when he gets back'

**I respond**
'Yes Please, he knows where to find me.'

**I sit in my chair and begin to prepare a dossier on seaports for SSA Lidner and I to look over.**

**I lean over and grab my phone. I dial SSA Lidner, and the phone begins to ring**

** I knock on the door to the office. **

'Come in'

** I enter the room and stand at ease in front of Carson. **
'You wanted to speak to me sir?'

'Yes I did Don, You mentioned Seaports being a major weakness for our defences when we were talking to the president. I agree with you, but I do not see what we can possibly do to seal off said weakness. We move more thasn 2 billions tons of cargo annually, and it is not humanely possible to screen more than 5% of said cargo. Do you have any ideas to protect our ports?'

' Beef up security at the ports. I'm not a national security specialist, sorry. '

'I understand that Don, but you're my link with the FPA, and it's your people who make these things happen. That will be all, and I think we ought to get over to the Oval Office and get ready to leave for New York.'

**I get up from behind my desk and start towards the door.**

**I open the door.**
'Sorry to rush you SSA Lidner, but I have a few things to do before the trip'

That's fine, we're bothing doing our jobs. I'll be at the White House if you need.'

**I pull my phone off my ear for a second**
'See you soon Don.'

*I walk into my office, and prepare several strategies for the war with Iran.*

*I pull out my tablet, and call the President on Skype*

** I put down the tablet, and look out of the window over Washington D.C.. Smoke can clearly be seen rising over the National Mall. I pick up my phone and call the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staffs, Secretary of the Army, Secretary of the Navy, and Secretary of the Air Force and request they meet me in my office ASAP.**

'Gentlemen, do today I stand in front of you as the SecDef of an America at war with an enemy of the likes that we have never faced before. I am giving you full power to execute all military actions you feel necessary, as long as you're idea has been given a stamp of acceptance by one person in this room. I will fulfil an oversight role, but you will operate the strategies and assaults.'
